ZARK APP MOCKUP

This project involved coming up with a mobile app concept from scratch. I decided to create a parking app called “Zark” to help simplify the process of booking different types of parking, such as street, garage, meter, airport, etc. In the app you would be able to filter your search to find a parking spot that best suits you, favorite parking locations, and view pricing and parking spot locations through the map view in the app. 

The project was designed in Figma. I created a fully interactive prototype to simulate the real feel of using an app. The process for creating it included doing competitive analysis on other similar apps, wireframes, user flows, and finally high fidelity screens the users could tap through. The mockup also went through user testing. Feedback was used to help make app navigation and usability better. I also had to choose the color palette and typography myself, and make sure it stayed consistent throughout for the brand identity.

One of the main challenges was organizing all of the content, like pricing, location, and parking types into an easy to read user interface. I had to make sure that users knew how to use the filtering system as well as the map view, so that users could easily find what they were looking at without getting overwhelmed. 

The final prototype was visually appealing and easy to navigate. User testing results showed that users could move through the app naturally without running into any confusion. Overall the project helped me showcase my ability to use UX principles, research strategy, and visual design to create a user friendly digital product.
